The Uplifting Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created in order to empower people living in underserved and impoverished communities.

We aim to build sustainable schools and provide resources to these communities that will be used to provide opportunities that would otherwise not be available.

We create partnerships with organizations and individuals to build lasting relationships and best serve the communities.

The Uplifting Project also intends to educate and empower all those who are involved in the organization in order to create a positive impact on our world.

The Uplifting Project’s founder, Rachel Moser, volunteered in South Africa and Tanzania in 2007 and 2008. It was her experience in Tanzania that left a lasting impression on her: working in a small school consisting of one concrete room where 35 children, ages 2 to 7, came each day, eager to learn. The school’s lack of resources and the children’s enthusiasm made Rachel decide that she wanted to help similar communities.

Thus The Uplifting Project was started in June 2010 on the belief that education empowers and allows for more opportunities in life. We believe that together we can make such opportunities a reality. We can make a huge difference in people’s lives around the world.
